If you have an important meeting in the upcoming week or day but your schedule is very busy and you are afraid to forget the date and timing of the appointment then it’s a perfect idea to setup a reminder on your Outlook.
It will pop up over an email or calendar to make you remind of the event. If you are replying to someone’s message then the reminder will appear behind the app so that it doesn’t hinder your work.
For All New Calendar Appointments And Meetings
1. Open Microsoft Outlook and make sure your internet is working properly.
2. Once the dashboard screen is visible to you, navigate to File tab and then select Options from the drop-down list.
3. Now, move to Calendar and to turn default reminders on or off for appointments and meetings, select or just clear the checkbox Default reminders under Calendar options.
4. If you clear the check box, enter the timing for how long prior the appointment reminder should visible to you.
For Existing App or Meetings
1. Open the app. Or meeting in the Outlook profile and then go to Appointment tab.
2. Move to Options group in the Reminder drop-down list and choose how long prior the appointment or meeting you wishes to see the Reminder to visible. Select None to turn off it off.
For email messages, contacts and tasks-
1. Visit the Home tab and click on Tags group.
2. Select Follow Up button and then click on Add Reminder.
3. Now, in the Custom dialog box, clear or select the Reminder check box.
4. Now, enter the time and date when you wish the reminder to appear.
5. Click OK.
