If you are not able to receive emails, then there is a possibility that your DNS might not be responding properly or if your C-Panel exceeded its disk quota, this can also prevent you from receiving mails. If your incoming email was working fine and suddenly stopped working, then the issue might be one of the following:-
• Spam:- Web-mail service providers have SPAM filters that detect which mails are legitimate and which are scam/threat. But sometimes, they are not always correct and sometimes legitimate emails can get caught in that filter. You should check if any of the mails from people you know are getting moved to that folder and if this is the case, mark them as safe.
• Web-client settings:- The most common reason is client’s web settings. If you are using a third-party mail server, make sure that the mail settings are correctly configured. If these settings are incorrect, you will still be able to receive your mail via webmail; however, you will need to correct those settings, so that you may begin to receive emails.
• Large email:- Large emails and attachments can cause your mailbox to lock but it will unlock itself within 15-20 minutes. If you are still facing this problem, then try deleting emails over 4MB.
• Server issue:- If you are able to sign-in but aren’t able to receive emails, then your email server settings may have been compromised or modified. Therefore, you should check your email settings and configurations. Also, you must use some preventive measures to secure your account from potential threats like hacking. Hackers can change your mailing protocols.
